Michael Tynan
Serious globetrotter
“I love the freedom this chair has given back to me.
I've flown to Vancouver, travelled across Canada on the rocky mountaineer, up the Athabasca glacier and to the Calgary stampede. Visited Reykjavik – having the FrontWheel made dealing with the snow, ice and slush a breeze. I've also been to the Isles of Scilly and London, to name but a few. Later this year I'm off to Tenerife and have trips planned to NYC, Maldives and Australia. This chair has given me so much more confidence and freedom when it comes to traveling. I would have never contemplated going up to London on my own in my old chair, but these days it's just another journey".

Rhys Lewis
Wheelchair racer, wheelchair basketball, hand-cyclist & young farmer
"The first time was with Thomson airlines to Tenerife and the cabin crew thought it was amazing – the first time in 26 years that they had seen such a thing! The second was on a flight to Grenoble in January, again, no issues in getting into the overhead locker, in fact, the biggest issue was telling the foreign check in staff that it does fit! I use the folding feature often, especially when carrying passengers but mostly when I have my basketball chair in the car. It came in extremely handy when I drove a team doing the three peaks challenge last year as it folded onto their luggage. All in all this is an amazing chair and it has been invaluable to me. It has helped a lot with travelling abroad and full car loads!".

Wheelchair Tennis player & Paralympian London 2012
It has made a massive difference to flying.
I originally got the Tiga FX for just travelling abroad as I do around 30 flights a year due to my sport. However I love it so much I now use it all the time. It has made a massive difference to flying, it’s so easy to fold it down and to have it on the plane with me. It relieves so much stress and worry. It's made getting in and out of the car a million times easier too, especially when I'm in friends cars who's boot space is smaller – it now fits a treat!".

Stephanie Muirhead
Auditor at the Queen Elizabeth’s University Hospital & mother of two
“I work in the new hospital in Glasgow, the Queen Elizabeth’s University Hospital and it’s particularly vast – walking between the wards and the offices had become impossible. The chair has allowed me the freedom and independence to get to places I normally wouldn’t have been able to. I love the folding feature, and it fits so neatly in the back of our family car. With having 2 kids, I usually have lots of shopping, toys, prams etc in the boot. But the Tiga FX fits in perfectly and doesn't take up much space. This chair has changed the way I live and has allowed me to do things that I would normally say no to!".

Nate Williams
BBC Sport Journalist & T34 athlete
“The Tiga FX has made a great impact on my life in such a short time. I work as a sports journalist and nowadays, that's not just about writing match reports. I sometimes get asked to do work in front of a camera and I've often avoided such work because I felt my previous chair was so old and ragged that I was afraid I didn't look the part. But now, the Tiga FX has erased those fears as it makes me stand out as a professional. I use the fold-up feature quite a lot because when I am competing in athletics as a T34 athlete aspiring to represent Great Britain, I have to take my racing chair with me in the car, which takes up most of my boot and back seats. The FX has helped me feel like a real pro at work".

Imagine racking up the miles

Are you tired of your chair being battered and broken by airlines when put into the hold? Want to use your own chair rather than being forced into a heavy, non-self-propelled monstrosity when exploring duty free? Don’t want to buy a huge, gas-guzzling car just to fit your wheelchair in? Then the Tiga FX is for you. It simply folds into a briefcase style shape, easily slipping into overhead lockers and practical sized car boots. No cross-folding. No trade-off of stability, rigidly, or weight. Stop avoiding seeing the world: get a flawless day chair that’s perfectly suited for us intrepid travellers.

* May not fit into all overhead lockers, please check with the airline prior to travel.
